This literally hasn't happened for a book or other tabletop product that is at least two releases (or three in this case) away. They've posted more cartoon stuff than the May or June book over the past week. That hasn't happened, ever.
It is a remarkable push, but in the past the hive mind out here has been able to guess the big adventure book months in advance of any announcement due to the subtle/not-subtle social media pushes, like all the Icewind Dale stuff in early 2020, or the Warerdeep qnd Undermountain stuff in early 2018. So while remarkable, it is not entirely unprecedented.

More likely the other way around, this could be yet more promotion.Maybe all the cartoon references were for this and nothing else.

I did for a while, but I lost interest. Started taking too long to level your characters up. (I assume they wanted me to spend real money.)
D&D cartoon was NOT a Boomer show. It's very firmly Gen X. Don't be ageist anyway.
Not really, it was never produced and that isn't the only final episode that was written.
DIsney owns the rights to the cartoon, WOTC owns the characters but Disney owns those old Marvel Animation Studios series minus Transformers and GI Joe from when they bought out Saban Entertainment/Fox Kids.
