Spelljammer The Forgotten Realms eats Spelljammer before it even finishes digesting Radiant Citadel!

Why, when Spelljammer is literally a highway between material realms, of which FR is the kitchen sink now anyway?

Like do you realize you are arguing for making FR the least defined, least unique, anything goes, boring grey mass blob of a setting as if its a good thing?

All races? All classes? All backgrounds? All products? What is FR?

"Whatever."

Hard pass dude.

Diversity doesn't make everything a Grey mass of a blob.

Not all races go in FR, Warforged don't.

But HUGE part of the Forgotten Realms story is Immigration, from different places, different worlds, weirder places, and how new folks and old mix with the history of Realmspace and its afterlives.

It makes the Realms no more flavourless then then all the wonderful immigration, organic multiculturism, and cultural exchange makes Toronto flavourless, it's the essence of the community and its soul is in its stories and infinite possibilities.

The real world is a "Kitchen Sink" and that is makes it special, instead of one note and unevolving.

Spelljammer book set and Spelljammer Academy is not just AL legal, it's considered apart of the Forgotten Realms AL Campaign. You can even use the Spelljammer UA until the books come out. And the DRW Campaign is going to outer space.

Is Dragonlance next in slating the Forgotten Realms hunger? I hear Kender taste delicious. Mawhahahaha👹😈
This thread title... I'm cackling IRL.

Sounds more like Spelljammer ate the Forgotten Realms.

The Realms is the default 5e setting. Adventurer's League uses the default 5e setting. So of course if they want to bring other elements into the AL, they're going to start from the Realms.
No, WotC always maintained that the D&D multiverse is the default Setting, and time has borne that out in practice. The Forgotten Realms looms large, being the most popular and the easiest to port bits to Homebrew, but it is not the default Setting itself.
