Per the thread rules, I speak only about 5e: I bought one copy in 2020, hard-bound because I read more patiently and closely when it's on paper.
I would think this would cost more than buying a digital copy.Well, technically...
I bought one for myself, ripped off the binding, and scanned it so I have a bookmarked, digital copy.
This is what I initially thought the question asked, and that resulted in lot of "ticking off numbers on my fingers." If we do this:1989: Player's Handbook for 2nd edition AD&D.
1995: Players Handbook (Revised) for 2nd edition AD&D.
2000: Player's Handbook for 3rd edition D&D.
2014: Player's Handbook for 5th edition D&D.
Not if you are doing it with over a dozen books.I would think this would cost more than buying a digital copy.
