So with half the planned MoAR releases out, the first season of Thematic Toolkit wrapping this month, the DDG on the way, 7 issues of Gate Pass Gazette published, the Handbook of Heritages from @Faolyn out, and two excellent books from Homebrew and Hacking which allow you to make your own heritages, cultures, backgrounds, and feats available, what kind of concepts y'all working on?

Here's one to get the conversation going.

The Stag Knight

Heritage:
Centaur (Fey origin variant) (Handbook of Heritages)
Culture: Planar Court (Handbook of Heritages)
Background: Noble (Adventurer's Guide)
Destiny: Saint (MoAR Light & Dark)
Class 1: Herald (Green Knight) (Adventurer's Guide)
Class 2: Bard (Greensinger) (MoAR Wilderness)
Feats: Fey Touched, Fey Knight, Fey Noble (Homebrew and Hacking: Crafting Personalized Feats), Proclaimer, Divine Orator (Adventurer's Guide)

The Stag Knight is a powerful and mysterious ancient fey, and is a rare example of a truly benevolent fey lord. Called to the world of mortals by some terrible crisis, he calls to any with ears to heed the warnings of the coming darkness, leaving hope in his hoofprints as he travels the world protecting the innocent and fighting against the rising tide of evil.

Playing With Yarn

Heritage:
Tabaxi (MoAR Wilderness)
Culture: Shadow Elf
Background: Artisan, weaver
Destiny: Chaos
Class 1: Druid (Spore Keeper) (MoAR Wilderness)

This is actually being run at my home group right now. There isn't any specific strategy here, other than a radical dedication to feline playfulness.

Vengeant Swampling

Heritage:
Frogfolk (MoAR Wilderness)
Culture: Grippli (MoAR Wilderness)
Background: Noble
Destiny: Revenge
Class 1: Berserker (Queen Bee) (Zeitgeist)

The quiet rage of the kindly frogfolk will no longer be repressed. In her diplomatic meetings with the very humans who despoil her people's land and pollute the water they all need to survive, this frog-princess came in contact with the Queen Bee Lodge and the psychic power there held. She formed her own lodge amidst her allies. She channels the power of her oppressed people against the forces of destruction with the arrogance to call itself "civilization."

Folks with this build can jump! And in her hands, the spear is a finesse weapon, which means she can use it for her Queen Bee features AND fully benefit from using a two-handed weapon re: other berserker class features.

Lorax Mk. 3

Heritage:
Spriggan (MoAR Wilderness)
Culture: Blightlander (MoAR Wilderness)
Background: Folk Hero
Destiny: Atonement (MoAR Light & Dark)
Class 1: Ranger (Rescuer) (MoAR Wilderness)
Class 2: Cleric (Undertaker) (MoAR Light & Dark)

Speaking for the trees gets hard once the lands, down to the rotten stumps, are befouled by the oppressors' own wickedness, construing the victims as the victimizers. Lorax Mk. 3 is the Batman of the blightlands. More than happy to face-off against the forces of darkness, yet compelled by sympathy and remorse for wrongdoing (and for close contact with the undead), Mk. 3 prioritizes the safety of innocence first. When innocent blood is shed, they are granted a dignified passage to the afterlife--and revenge.

Asteroth

Heritage:
Unliving, hulking rotter (MoAR Light & Dark)
Culture: Godbound
Background: Returned (MoAR Light & Dark)
Destiny: Monster (MoAR Light & Dark)
Class 1: Berserker (Deathrager) (MoAR Light & Dark)

Fans of Soul Calibur rejoice! Everyone's favorite undead abomination is back with axe-swinging joy--and gore galore! Just a big, evil, cult-sanctioned death machine offering glory to Ares, god of conquest.

Forged for the Forge God

Heritage:
Talos (Dose of Dungeonpunk: The Talos Heritage)
Culture: Legion Hoplite (MoAR Intrigue)
Background: Artisan, blacksmith
Destiny: Legacy (MoAR Intrigue)
Class 1: Cleric (---)
Class 2: Artificer (---)

This talos was constructed in an ancient time, a servant-soldier of a giant regime. When the talos rebelled against their masters, they were put to sleep... only to be awakened millennia later. This soldier's power was always his faith in the creator---the true Creator. When he found that the dwarves worshiped this true Creator, he swore himself to the contemporary service of the Forge God.

The "Last Call" Unicorn

Heritage:
Unicorn (Homebrew & Hacking: Heritages and Cultures)
Culture: Cosmopolitan
Background: Barkeep (MoAR Intrigue)
Destiny: Coming of Age
Class 1: Sorcerer (Exalted) (MoAR Light & Dark)

This is a 3rd-generation unicorn city-slicker. People are often surprised to find a unicorn working the bar, but they are quickly disarmed by his blase and impatient attitude. Every person he meets seems to comment on how wonderful he is and what an inspiration he is. But that's now how he feels about it. In his view he's just a bartender, trying to make his way in the world like anybody else. His world suddenly changes the day his divine sorcery manifests.

Merry Poppins

Heritage:
Human
Culture: Cosmopolitan
Background: Caretaker (MoAR Intrigue)
Destiny: Excellence
Class 1: Artificer

She's practically perfect in every way. Need I say more?

The Returned Guardian

Heritage:
Unliving, shade (MoAR Light & Dark)
Culture: Lone Wanderer (Adventurer's Guide)
Background: Returned (MoAR Light & Dark)
Destiny: Devotion (MoAR Light & Dark)
Class 1: Herald: choice of: Deepfire Emissary (Fiery Justice), Holy Champion (Adventurer's Guide), Scholar Knight (Thematic Toolkit: Arcane Avenger)
Class 2: Rogue, Investigator (Adventurer's Guide)
Feats: Truth Seeker, Breaker of Secrets, Scourge of Lies (MoAR Light & Dark), Resonant Bond (Adventurer's Guide)

The great hero has returned, but came back a little changed from the other side.

The Hack from Legal Aid

Heritage:
Planetouched, tiefling
Culture: Cosmopolitan
Background: Lawyer (MoAR Intrigue)
Destiny: Underdog
Class 1: Warlock, glorified (MoAR Light and Dark)

This expert at spiritual and temporal law is a "knight in sour armor" of the public good. Hags abducting the children again? He's on the job. Fire elementals on strike causing a backlog of smithing requisitions? Call him to settle the dispute. What he lacks in enthusiasm and joy, he more than makes up for in sarcastic comments, arcane knowhow, and generally being right.

I feel like this character is played by either Keanu Reeves or Matthew McConaghey.
