3 hour road trip to try some pies. Back to where I was born in "Rohan".

Not 100% sure. Chorizo sausage (whole sausage, egg, bacon/beef?). Even the menu is vague. That's the one with the hash brown on top and the sausage in the middle above.

7 hour trip 6 on the road spending about $300 nzd on pies and gas!!

I haven’t been on a road trip in ages. I always liked the little places you’d find to eat tasty treats, or find odd little treasures.

Yeah it was a bit if that he a look at a few rural cares etc.

Coffee was a bit of a disappointment. Not bad just wasn't good.

I finally started making my own corn tortillas.

If anyone is on the fence about it, the process is dead simple with a press.

Water+Maseca, press, cook, repeat.

I took some leftovers and made a Creole-Lebanese fusion soup. Basically boudin balls in a chicken broth that included sliced onion and Lebanese sides like tabouli, vegetable rice, roasted broccoli, and some sautéed mushrooms & zucchini. A little salt, a little pepper.

Zapped my balls* in the microwave just enough to warm the center, then poured the hot soup over it.

* hehehehe, “balls”

Night before camping. Cabin fevers setting in already. Fish and Chips.


Chicken, cheese, bacon burger, curry roll, pineapple ring chips. As a kid I got a pineapple ring with my order.
