That John Lassater viewed himself as a misunderstood genius on the level of Walt Disney, and that his genius makes it OK for him to be inappropriate with women under his authority...?It’s clear a lot of people never watched Ratatouille or completely failed to understand one of its main points.
That Ego, the useless food critic, is the most appropriately named character in history, he’s really a scared child longing for the “peasant” food his mommy made him as a boy, and that a literal rat is more able to produce something of value (i.e. food) than he is.That John Lassater viewed himself as a misunderstood genius on the level of Walt Disney, and that his genius makes it OK for him to be inappropriate with women under his authority...?
So, yes, John Lassater's self-aggrandizing.That Ego, the useless food critic, is the most appropriately named character in history, he’s really a scared child longing for the “peasant” food his mommy made him as a boy, and that a literal rat is more able to produce something of value (i.e. food) than he is.
Heh. I've run into that many times. A buddy I play with is a HUGE Tolkien fan and was... vocal about his reaction to the Amazon series. When I commented that I couldn't even finish the Similarian (sp) and wasn't really even a huge fan of fantasy in general, he was utterly flabbergasted. When I pointed out that in my opinon the Amazon series was fun, beautifully filmed and a pretty good story, he was... again, vocal in his reactions. You can enjoy D&D without much liking most Fantasy fiction. I do.
I tore through the Silmirand the History of Middle Earth stuff in Middle school, and I agree with you about the show. Heck, Simon Tolkien picked that pitch because he thought his grandfather would appreciate that it was essentially an original story, and I think that's right on.Heh. I've run into that many times.
