Make a subclass or alternate class feature that gives you martial weapons and the ability to sneak attack with bigger weapons, and the Rogue is a better Fighter class than the actual Fighter class.

give the battlemaster sneak attack and cunning strike and you are 1/2 way there... give them better options like give up damage to sweep multi targets or command someone to hit someone and you really got it.

As I am sure that Expertise and Concentration free Hunters mark for Rangers passed 70% and we saw now how that turned out.

Because it proved too powerful in playtesting. No way is giving up a d6 of sneak attack damage to apply a condition like poisoned or prone for a few turns going to have the same issue.

Maybe some of the options will get the number of SA dice they cost adjusted for balance purposes, and if so that’s fine by me. The important thing is the idea of being able to trade SA damage dice for more interesting effects, which I’m confident will be a popular option.

Yea.
All martials got "martial dice" that could do damage, or trade a few of them for an effect.
