I was filled with righteous indignation at the blistering, pointed obtuseness. I wrote up the response, complete with witty analogy and just the right emphasis on my excitement to call out the other's smug satisfaction as childish nonsense, without quite sliding directly into insult. Then I read it again, and saw the next five quote posts in my mind's eye, and worse, the likes further associating me with people I barely agree with.

Better to lose early.

My first name not uncommonly gets a D added to the front of it--when they don't swap my first and last.
