This. Pointing out that if someone wants their assertions to be treated as something credible, then they necessarily assume the burden of proof involved with that, is not a "homework assignment."

If your answer to other people challenging your premise is "I'm right; go look it up and you'll see," then you've just been cut down by Hitchens's razor.

As a pure grinder/time waster I've found it pretty entertaining, but I'm kind of annoyed by the fact that you have the option to have your character wear a set of gear for the stats but look like they're wearing a different set of gear, and yet it's not quite flexible enough to pull off what I want to do with it...

I think most games end up putting some limits on transmogrification, for various reasons. My wife regularly chafes against the restrictions on cloth-wearing characters in WoW, for instance.

Why do people have such a tough time with saying, "I don't like this. It's not for me"?

We just subscribed to Hulu this summer, after cutting off several streaming channels, and I've been reconnecting with several beloved shows I used to watch back when we had cable, eons ago. And I realized that I no longer like quite a few of them. Either I enjoyed them just because they were better than what else was available via cable, back in the day, or my tastes changed. Either way, there's no point in me pissing on them publicly, because they remain some of the most beloved comedies of all time. I hope other people are still getting pleasure out of them.

After you have stated your position clearly, not once, not twice, but three or more times... and the other side still disagree, why do you (both of you) keep going and going and going?

I've mentioned before that I'm trying to break myself of the habit of being in an endless loop there, especially when the other participant does not, from my perspective, seem to understand my point; if three cycles isn't going to do it, 30 probably isn't, either.

I know that this is a popular fear, but I can't find any evidence for it. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, or it couldn't happen...I'm just saying I never see it happen.

I've actually seen a lot of people who have trouble finding players for games other than the common modern ones. Talk to @Retreater sometime.
