D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 will now be releasing August 3rd on PC and September 6th on PS5, increased level cap, race & class details and more

So apparently after like 3 serious chats (im still in act 1) the Cleric is ready to go to pound town.

BG1-2 you had play like 75% of the game to even get that far.
I think your misinterpreting her desires, she's in to you but not THAT into you....not yet at least.

But yeah my one main beef with my party is that romances happen way too easily. Gale and Halsin for example just suddenly were super into me, and I didn't even pick one flirty line the whole time. Even Lae'zel just suddenly wanted to get freaky with me.

I feel like I'm having to beat off my party with a stick to stay out of my pants. At first I thought it was because I was playing an 18 charisma bard (in which case, I was like hey fair play to the game), but it sounds like charisma doesn't actually influence that at all.

Luckily my heart is true for Shadowheart... and some Astarion as a side piece.

Explain it to me like I'm 5. How in the name of Ilmater do I use a healing potion on a friend while in battle or if they are downed?

Like only like 25% of the time can I "throw" one at them with any success.

Re: Gale, this is 100% the straight woman experience. You don't have to be remotely flirty with that kind of guy for them to decide that, not only are you obviously into them, but they're hurt when turn out to be dating someone else or whatever. You just have to be like, be normally decent to them, and most people are to Gale. Personally I got over this when I was about 14 (somehow, god knows how, I suspect it was explained on a TV show or something), but I know dudes who struggle with this concept in their 30. What happens to most of them is they eventually assume correctly, end up married, and thus just don't learn any better (but secretly think all their co-workers are into them - they are not lol).

Re: Halsin on the other hand is bugged. I'm not sure if it's all choices, but there's a place at the party where you can come on to him pretty hard, or not, and if you pick not, the game still thinks you picked to come on to him, and you're stuck with an apology option in your dialogue (which doesn't always go away even if you pick it) until like, the next act. Also he is quite a horny-ass dude when it comes down to it, but that's revealed later.

Yeah I have the same question. Everyone says, and the videos show, just throwing the potion at the floor near them so the "splash radius" shows and splashes them. But my experience is... that doesn't work. I dunno if I'm doing something wrong, but exactly like you I can get it to work about one throw in four.
One thing I will say is that BG3 has a lot of memory leaks right now, so you may need to reload the game every hour or so if you find it really chugging. Even with a high performance graphics card I find the game starts to stutter if I've been playing for a long time.
I wonder if that's DX11-specific. Running on Vulkan I haven't experienced it at all, not even once, not even in Baldur's Gate itself. I get the same FPS in the same place at minute 5 or hour 5 or BG3 being up. But multiple people have reported it.

I haven't got too far with Gale, but from what I've learned of him, it seems super-creepy to get into a relationship with him as he's clearly still into someone else - someone that it seems pointless to try and compete with.

Anything's possible, but I've had my only outright game crash when I tried using Vulkan instead of DirectX, so I won't be making that comparison for now. Maybe once I have a better graphics card.

Remarkably I haven't a single crash in the 90+ hours I've been playing the release game, all on Vulkan. I might be on some particularly lucky config though (AMD 3700x processor, Nvidia 3060 graphics card).

My game crashed once, when I was loading a save... so it did not even matter. It's amazing how stable this has been.

BG3 did get me to finally look into undervolting my RTX2060, and I'm happy that I did. Same performance, 15C lower heat, means quiet fans.

Throw it on the ground next to them and let the AoE splash up on them.
