Old hotness: martials vs casters.

New hotness: make your tabletop D&D game more like BG3.

Eternal hotness: edition warring.

(Apparently tabletop RPGs can learn quite a bit from video games…)

So hard to not respond with "that's what SHE said" to that post.

Now I’ll be here imaging how to make the @billd91 post a response to the things @overgeeked is discussing.

It always amazes me that people get mad at Critical Role for, you know, roleplaying. Now we have people mad at Baldur's Gate for, you know, teaching them the rules of the game and all the stuff that you can do in D&D.

I always wonder what these folks' games are like that players learning about these things is so threatening.

No one expects you to do all the voices Matt Mercer can (although DMs are now required by law to wear vests) and players having a better idea of the game's rules seems hard to get too upset about. (For people who wish that the Baldur's Gate spells and magic items not in 5E were in some product they can obtain so that DMs would be prepared when players ask where they are, I hear you and agree.)

Also, remember when I told you that your Kickstarter campaign didn't make clear who the audience was for your product, and you brushed off that (solicited) criticism? You're on track to slightly miss funding. Maybe it's not too late to make clear why someone who isn't you should want this product to become reality.

Wait .... Kickstarter is for products?

I thought it was for people to show you how much they like you with money instead of "thumbs up" emjois!

Anyway, I'd like to welcome you all to help me crowdfund my new business idea ....

Jumpstarter- A website for raising funds to help people come up with Kickstarter ideas.
