I am monumentally sad, and more than a little angry. I know, intellectually, that two events are entirely unrelated, and my anger both misplaced and extremely mean spirited. And yet I still feel it. The utter unfairness of it.
Lewis Black once opined: "The good die young... and pricks* live FOREVER." I hate how right he was.

99% sure I was in the audience that night. Funny story. My date and I sat at a table in the back of the club with some random couple. We didn't speak with them the whole night and when the show was over, we realized they accidently grabbed my date's purse and the woman left her purse. Unsure what to do, we opened it to see if we could find an ID or something to help us figure out who had the wrong purse. The driver's license was from LA, so we thought all was lost. Suddenly the cell phone in the purse rang, so we picked it up and luckily it was the man who was sitting at the table. We quickly arranged to meet in the lobby of the club and while exchanging purses, learned they were in fact Lewis' agent. They asked if we wanted to meet him, which we obviously said yes to.
Really nice guy, we tried to convince him to let us buy him a beer but he said he had an interview at 6am on a local radio morning show because "they apparently hate me" as he nodded at his agent.
