Ryujin
Legend
Well there was this post from 8 years ago:This talk about Myers-Briggs reminded me of an old D&D survey that would generate your "character sheet" by asking you questions. Apparently it would use the game rules for things like holding your breath to figure your Constitution score and lifting weights to back-calculate your Strength, ethics questions to determine your alignment, that old outdated IQ test to determine Intelligence, etc.
I couldn't find it with a cursory Google search, but I remember being unimpressed with it. Literally: the real-world me is not an impressive D&D character. No magical ability, 10 or 11 in almost every stat, only proficient with medium armor (I've worn football pads before), two whole levels of Expert, that sort of thing.
Back in my college years I ran a short-lived Space Opera campaign, in which the players were statted-out as themselves. The premise was that present day Earth was invaded by the Korellian Empire. Humans were captured for use as slaves, such as Janissary style soldiers. This got around the "less than stellar" stats issue because Space Opera provided points for stat improvement, based on training in your profession. This resulted in reasonably good numbers, though hardly godlike. What I didn't tell them was that I gave them all a 17 score in Psionics, which was just below starting the game with them. Korellians have Psi tech that involves embedding crystals in the forehead, with each one granting a +1 in Psi score. One crystal and they'd have been "awakened." Never got to that point.
