Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

Fine if you are telling 22 individual stories, but far too long for one. Not even The Lord of the Rings is worth 22 hours!

That's something like a season of Babylon 5, Stargate, Star Trek TNG/DS9, or Farscape.

Ahsika gave us new characters as Hati and Skroll that one cares about. The actors fir the animated show characters are good as well.

It's harder to care about the Acolyte characters so far. Most of them weren't in the third episode after all.

They all have separate stories for each episode, as well as an arc plot. The Acolyte is just a single story, not planet-of-the-week + arc. It's more comparable to a single long story from the original run of Doctor Who, Such as The Invasion (8 23 minute episodes).

Also, those all had 45 minute episodes, they were only an hour when you added the commercial breaks.

Shame they didn't get anything interesting to do...

That's opinion, I like all the characters, and the top ones, Osha, Mae and Sol, where all in episode 3.

Isha, Mae a d Sol are about the only stand outs.

42 minutes is still more than 27.

Gerbil on crack pacing is also a common criticism of RoS and GoT S8.

Even thise filler episodes in other shows have things like character development. A lot become fan favorites.

Animated stuff also short episodesbut longer seasons.

All the comparatively well received Disney stuff has longer episodes or more of them.

Movies xan get away with a faster pace but we're getting roughly two movies of content with Acolyte.

Fairy confidant E5 will be better. They've had great choreography for the fights.

Ahsoka looks a lot better as well:).

I would not be surprised if episode 5 is another flashback. So far we only have Osha's point of view (see: Rashomon).

This story is more like ST: TNG, in that the emphasis is that you win by NOT fighting. Don't expect to see many of the tediously slow battles of Ahsoka.

Disagree. Whist the digital sets made for impressive scenery, the forest battle looked terrible. It was quite obviously in a studio with the image of trees projected onto the background. It generally looked like animation with real actors inserted. (moving slowly 'cos the digital cameras can't keep up*).

*We saw a lot of this in Book of Boba Fett and Obi Wan too. The trouble with the digital sets is every time someone moves they have to rerender the scenery, which is slow and expensive, so no one can move very fast.

I quite enjoyed the Ahsoka battles.

Just finished the Baylan talking Sabine around to join him E4. Bloody hell he's good.

Next ones up a flashback episode I think. But it's E5 vs 3 with longer run times.

They barely established Osha and Mae when they did that. Sols great, Osha over Mae E1&2. Mae over Osha 3&4. Actors doing her job well. Jords a doofus but 90% sure that's intentional.

Ahsoka E5 is 51 minutes minus 5 for credits.

Yeah he's great loved him in Rome. Shins interesting as well. From memory the forst half of Ahsoka is better than 2nd. E5 now.
It felt like a railroad to me. The DM has decided that Thrawn is coming back, so Ashoka is fighting the predefined narrative, not the villains, and therefore can’t win no matter what she does.

Sorry, but you're talking more generally, you don't get to say "Oh we can only talk about my specific criticism". You opened up the door to Disney generally ignoring "valid" criticism, and my point is, easily 90% of that criticism of Star Wars specifically isn't actionable.

What metric was used to measure the 90%?
