Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

I've finally been able to get some painting done again. This Orc lad here is a proper Orc: green, and mean.

I wish more fantasy minis and art had a more grounded but detailed look like this.
In all seriousness, one of the things I like about that model is that it isn't too busy. It's detailed enough to be interesting without having so much detail that you don't know where your eyes should focus. i.e. There's no ridiculous over ornamentation on what is essentially a rank & file part of an army or larger force that you might have to paint dozens or more of. Sometimes less is more.

What we have there is a good, useful miniature that's painted with some great looking skin, armor, and that cool little belt buckle. I assume that orc is from Oklahoma.

The files for those Orcs are from a creator called Highlands Miniatures. His stuff is usually quite clean and nice to paint. I'm not a fan of sculptors who go absolutely crazy when it comes to details and textures. Great for the occasional display piece, not so much for miniatures intended for gaming.
