See the new enspelled staff item. That's how you get a staff of shield.
Ah, okay. I see it now. I looked under "Staff", like a fool.

Sure, okay. @Ancalagon you are Vindicated. Be concerned. Be very concerned!

(Or tell them to cut that crap out, if you find it troublesome, but I am with you now, it sucks to have to "lay the smack down" when the rules should be backing you up).

Nice and flavorful.

Not to speak for @Yaarel but they may be angling particularly for how the three "North Kingdoms" and the Pleasant Hunting Grounds also in the Noeth get described.
Heh, it took me several readings of the sentence to realize "they" meant "he" referring to me (He-Mage, "he/him").

I was interested generally in how 2024 handles the cultural sensitivity of the ethnography of Flanaess.

But yeah, along with the Blackmoor by "Arn" Arneson, the concern about the Indigenous, and the Norsesque viking settlements, I want to know how 2024 describes these cultures. I love the far north.

@FitzTheRuke What's the gist of the two pages on Ability Checks?
The gist is: Roll a check when the DM asks for one. Expect your success to reflect 5: You only made it if it was Super Easy. 10: If it was easy Easy. 15: If it was "Hard". 20: Super Hard. 25: Insanely awesomely hard. 30: Gods turn their heads and gasp at your awesomeness.

(Oooh. I'm getting salty! Please, Forgive me!)

Also, are the chase rules the same as the ones in the 2014 DMG, or have they come up with something different?
At a quick read, they look the same (I moved on because I don't like the 2014 rules, and I didn't see anything that made them different to me).
