See, this is why playtesting should be done exclusively by "munchkins" and power-gamers!

Did anyone read those spells in WotC test group?
It is worthwhile to note that Treantmonk assumes damage before initiative is rolled. Which by reading the DMG rules is probably incorrect.

The druid should get advantage on their initiative check at most, as their presence/action to open the door initiates combat (as explained in the DMG combat section).

Then he uses ready without perceivable circumstances (PHB). Then he also allows the druid to be carried back and forth in the same 6 seconds which is not necessarily allowed (as explained with the peasant railgun example in the DMG that this should be discouraged by the DM).

Then he does not have the enemies raise any kind of alarm when they die. The dungeon is completely static and thus would not be dangerous anyway.

So overall it is a nice thought experiment but not one that is strictly RAW nor RAI.

No, you should not design a game around rules exploits. The DMG has the correct answer for plays like this.

That does not mean showing such examples are not great ways to demonstrate DMs what can happen if you allow people to exploit rules.

Or did they spend all time congratulating themselves for designing the best capstone ability, the Ranger's capstone, OFC.

That is totally unneeded...

Anyone want to explain what’s being done for those that aren’t going to watch the video?
The Druid cast Conjure woodland being, then wild shape into a turkey, then the rest of the party grab the turkey and pass it over and over running into the dungeon! The goal is to trigger the spell damage the more often possible. Ok i make it funny, but you better use an owl with fly by attack and the Druid can do himself much of the move.
It is pretty much like the spike growth combo, except you move the caster rather than the monster.

Ah. High movement rate of owl and no OA’s. One could even ready action a move for off turn aoe damage. That’s impressive!

I was going to suggest that the DM should call for a concentration check every time the turkey is passed around, but I noticed that this rule on concentration from the 2014 rules

The DM might also decide that certain environmental phenomena, such as a wave crashing over you while you're on a storm-tossed ship, require you to succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw to maintain concentration on a spell.

appears to have vanished as of the 2024 rules on concentration.

That’s it, then another Pc or ally grab the owl and you redo it.
The video mention exploit with a horde a skeleton that each after the other can grab the owl and make a little walk.
