People, amirite?

Can't live with 'em, can't drown 'em in the bathtub and bury their bodies in the forest.

Unless you have an airtight alibi.
Even then, there's also a matter of scale--though as the song says, "murder is the sport of the elected."

Well, if I am at the "can't live with 'em" stage, I have probably retreated into being a forest ranger in one of those treetop fire observation towers. The forest is the first place they'd look.

The unabomber had been right about everything! Well… not everything. The unabomber stuff he had gotten wrong. But that stuff about the Industrial Revolution had been right on the money.

Oooh, I know this one! So, you dress the body in a scuba diving suit, and put it in a tree. Then start a fire, wait an appropriate amount of time, and call for waterbombing support.

Pretty much the perfect crime, as long as it's not some hard-boiled detective's last day on the job. Your only real danger is if they call in a special consultant (not many PDs can afford those in this economy, but my understanding is a lot of those guys don't do it for the money).

We wound up canceling last night. The DM was ok but one of the players was just too distraught. Yesterday morning I had debated bowing out but had finally decided I could use the company.

Wound up going to the gym, making a good dinner, and going for an hour+ walk with my brother in the unseasonable warm weather (high of 80 in my town yesterday here in NH) to work out some of the anger and anxiety.

I plan to send out an email Friday saying that I know some of us won't be at our best, so I'm going to try to treat everyone a little more generously than I might normally, and only request everyone else try to do the same. I might have been tempted to call it but we already skipped our last session.

Um... money predates capitalism.

We need money, capitalism or not, because as a practical matter we still need a generalized medium of exchange.
Yup. Whether you call it dollars, work credits, or the ratio of pigs to bales of cotton, it's all money at its base.
