We wound up canceling last night. The DM was ok but one of the players was just too distraught. Yesterday morning I had debated bowing out but had finally decided I could use the company.
Wound up going to the gym, making a good dinner, and going for an hour+ walk with my brother in the unseasonable warm weather (high of 80 in my town yesterday here in NH) to work out some of the anger and anxiety.
