D&D (2024) Bastion - Missing Facilities (ie theres no diplomacy!)

A suffusion of yellow
I just had a look at the Bastion Rules on DnDBeyond and strangely enough Bastions dont have a "Embassy facility" which might be used if players wanted to involve themselves in diplomacy and political manouverings.
The rules allow Spying through the Pubs Research:Gather Information action and I suppose maybe the Theatre might be reskinned - Diplomacy is all Performance afterall (its Empower Action grants a bonus 1d6 to a D20 test).

So do you think a Embassy Facility needs to be added and what would it do?

What other Special Facilities do you think would be a great addition?

FYI These are the listed Special Facilities

Oh, I'm planning to massively expand the Bastion rules with my own version of stuff - but you can quite get into the weeds.

Sebastian systems sounds like a perfect setup for WOTC and other third party publishers to print their own bastions to add to the system.

I have two civilization fans in my family and friends game and I will be adding the various districts to the system.

They already ask me how much production does each special facility gives.

Larry: It's a workshop. It gives you hammers.
Me: There are no production hammers in D&D.
Sky: But I am interested in a trade agreement with England.

Seems like it would be a bit too campaign specific to be in the PHB.

But I see no reason you couldn't add one to your specific campaign.
I am looking to do that, hence the question:)

and really I dont see how a generic 'embassy' is any more campaign specific than a Sacristry, Menagerie or Theatre. Indeed I can think of far more adventures that have PCs doing 'diplomatic stuff' than I can those involving a Sacristry.

Diplomatic stuff requires there to be different cities to be Diplomatic too, and campaigns that require things to be diplomatic about. Doesn't work if you just want to run into a dungeon and kill a dragon.

Oh. How about if it includes the Sending spell? Then you can communicate and give orders remotely.

Storm Kings Thunder, Phandelver, Ghost of Saltmarsh, Against the Giants all have diplomacy as an option without having to go into full Doman management

I would expect that the Embassy would be something where after establishing initial contact, you might want a "fast travel/communication" option. In the Saltmarsh game I ran, the characters could have benefited from a Lizard Man Embassy to keep quick and open communication with the Lizard Folk as they organized an assault against their mutual enemy, without having to personally stomp up into the swamp to send a message.
