scimitar is pact blade, club is shillelagh
The scimitar can't be the Light Nick weapon and the Extra attack weapon.
The light weapon that triggers two weapon fighting has to be a separate light weapon from the one that benefits from Nick.

Top 4:
Ranger
Warlock
Fighter
Bottom 4
Bard
Paladin
As I said. Level we are currently playing... Probably too early to say.
You posted your bottom 2, not 4.I have already posted my choices. But actually I have a hard time putting anyone at the bottom as I think in tier 1 and 2 it is so close that it really depends on the campaign and the party composition and size.
I really need to calculate nova damage for a 2024 battlemaster. Dumping action surge and all manuevers into turn 1 damage is usually really potent. You posted your bottom 2, not 4.
As for the paladin vs fighter. Assuming 1 short rest, and the Fighter having 16 Con vs 14 paladin.
Level 2
Fighter has
2d6+3 * .6 + (3 *.4 graze)= 7.2 * 2 = 14.4 bonus damage
2 Con + 3d10+6 = 24.5 bonus HP
Paladin has
2 smites (1 free) * 2d8 = 18 bonus damage
10+1 cure wounds 2d8+3 = 22 bonus HP.
I consider tactical mind to be on par with Bless, so kind of a ways in that department.
Level 4 (ignoring subclass)
Fighter
2d6+4+2 * .6 + (4*.4) = 9.4 *2 = 18.8 bonus damage
4 Con+4d10+16 = 42 bonus HP
Paladin
2 Smites =18 bonus damage
20 LoH + 2 cure wounds * 2d8+3 = 44
Paladin by a hair.
Level 6
Fighter
2d6+4+3 * .6 + (4*.4) = 10 *4 = 40 bonus damage
4d10+24 = 46 bonus HP.
Paladin
5 level 1 smites (1 free) = 2d8* 5 = 45
30 LoH + 2 level 2 cure wounds = 8d8+6 = 72 bonus HP.
Paladin is firmly ahead by the numbers
- the aura is way better than resilient Wis.
- paladin has more variety with their slot, including dragons breath for AoE.
- a Steed who can take / deal even more damage.
You can calculate 8 and 10 if you want, but LoH will out pace up with second wins, and the Paladin gets more slots.
Now, if you get enough short rests, then fighter will win. Especially a battle master.
I forgot to add 2d8+2 (11) healing from the free Find Steed (Celestial).I really need to calculate nova damage for a 2024 battlemaster. Dumping action surge and all manuevers into turn 1 damage is usually really potent.
Not at level 4.Something like if you miss then use precision attack, if you don't use trip attack. with gwm at level 4. Add in topple from the maul and maybe lucky if possible. I'm betting I can hit 70 or 80 damage on turn 1 at level 5.
1. I said level 5.I forgot to add 2d8+2 (11) healing from the free Find Steed (Celestial).
Not at level 4.
You only have 1 attack, 2 with action surge. That's not enough to dump all your dice.
And at level 5, with 4 attacks, you're very likely to miss at least one.
(2d6+4+3 +1d8) * .6 +(4*.4) = 12.7
* 4 = 50.8
Nova for the Vengence at level 5.
(2d6+4+3) * 0.84 *2 + 4d6 Searing Smite
= 25.76
Now if the paladin went first and hit with shining smiteand you had advantage for all attacks.
Fighter 5
(2d6+4+3 +1d8) * 0.84
*4 = 62.12
Giving the paladin 12 more damage.![]()
why?The scimitar can't be the Light Nick weapon and the Extra attack weapon.
it is, it's the club that triggers TWF.The light weapon that triggers two weapon fighting has to be a separate light weapon from the one that benefits from Nick.
why?
it is, it's the club that triggers TWF.
1. I said level 5.
2. You are not really likely to miss once with trip attack, precision attack, lucky and topple. In fact you should have a higher hit chance than if you just had advantage. Without doing the calcs it's probably greater than 95% to hit for the turn.
