It’s really hard to do. You need the perfect group. Probably one with zero knowledge of Paranoia and who think they’re playing a sci-fi horror game. Change all the relevant names jist enough to not be easily spotted. Gamers with any knowledge of Paranoia seem to automatically slip into zap play.

Yeah, I think you're right. Horror is always hard to pull off. Add in the fac that it's Paranoia and it becomes a real big ask for any group. Ce la vie.

As I recall, didn’t Mongoose put out a version that could be played for straight dystopian sci-fi? Smaller steps from that to sci-fi horror.
