Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

So the house inspection was yesterday, we put together a list of buyer concessions and the seller has agreed to most of them (particularly the roof replacement, which was a major sticking point for us). Now all I've got to do is muster the down payment and sign the mortgage. ~gulp

Buying a house is a huge pain.
Good job on the roof they can be expensive. I know I just fought tooth and nail with insurance to get like 15% payment on my old roof...

Make sure to confirm how long the warranty on the roof replacement lasts. I had a leak a few years back, and was relieved to find that the warranty on the roof repair the sellers had done was still in effect (albeit just barely).

Not for long though. In comics they'd just bring the dead back to life. It would all be a dream or they'd realize it's a simulation, an alternate dimension, alternate reality, someone would time travel and fix it, on and on and on. Gods I love comic books.

Speaking of, besides things like Game of Thrones, are there any stories that even come close to the random and pointless deaths you see in old-school fantasy gaming? War stories, sure. But they'll generally have a highly-paid cast that survives most of the run time. You don't have Tom Hanks in your D-Day movie only for him to get shot dead on the beach in the opening scene.
The best thing about "Executive Decision" was Steven Segal's character dying in the first 20 minutes.

Oh I had a headache with my recent replacement too. The chimney meets at three points on the roof which is no bueno. The crew didnt properly flash it and I got some water on the wall but spotted it soon enough. They did fix it and repaint my wall. The contractor covers this kind of thing for 10 years.

Oh, Rule 34 pre-dates the internet by a couple of decades... :p
Not sure if I want to know what rule 34 is either.

For me at least I saw the Wizard of Oz on tv so many times as a kid, it is simply burned into my brain, I know other people too, as a simple reference, easily get it. So much so. Compound it with seeing the Wiz, which was great, sort of an enduring reference. The Wiz (film) - Wikipedia
