Apparently the monsters are "inspired by a campaign model", which sounds like a neat idea! I have no idea how that works!

(Yes, the monsters excite me the most. I am nothing if not predictable!)
Well, we had known from previous previews thet this books is going to have three outlined Campaign models, similar to those in the new DMG (IIRC, one is working for a newspaper in Sharn, the other is being Indian Jomes style researchers for Morgrave Uni).

I am LOVING the shift in art direction for Eberron. The zeppelin style airship is pretty slick! The new warforged is fun too!
I am the opposite – I do not like the change to airships. Where are the elemental rings?

Also, I am fond of the old style warforged look.

I don’t think I like this art nouveau thing.

I also don’t like the revised 5e trade dress with its bright red coloring.

I think I might be close to bouncing off the revision.

Just imagine them as variants for Airships and Warforged.

Waaaay in the back. The white ring really blends in with the pale blue sky.

Art is subjective. While I think that is a cool looking airship, it doesn't scream Eberron to me. Same for the warforged. Very cool design but says more old school Asimov robot on a book cover for me than a sentient war-golem.

No shade on those who love new look.

I like the art direction, it's much closer to the 1920s stylings that I have been using in my Eberron descriptions. I didn't like the 3rd edition art.

Visual designs are a big inspiration in ttrpgs! The right piece of art can really get your table revved up to do a game.

I had that happen to myself recently. I could never get my head around duck folk in a lot of the d100 games. Then the art in Dragonbane changed my mind.

Duck assassin, sign me up please. :ROFLMAO:

In a way, this new art design for Eberron, which leans more into the 1920 influence, is sort of a soft reboot as Eberron does not advance its timeline like FR does.
