They were in icy cold, but within the gr/mavity field... ish... and the atmosphere bubble was obviously intact.

I wasn't bothered by the cryo thing, but the oxygen thing was annoying. But if you're in cryo-freeze I guess you don't need oxygen? But then anybody would be fine in space. I guess there's the pressure thing.

Also, 100K people? Even if they had it down to one person per minute, that rescue operation took about 2 months.

I figured that the mavitic suspension was what kept the peepsicles from floating too far off into the void, while the cold was what kept them sort-of alive.

Also, 100K people? Even if they had it down to one person per minute, that rescue operation took about 2 months.

They showed them somehow converting the VIP booths into multi-person resuscitation pods. Presumably, they didn't do it with just one.

I figured that the mavitic suspension was what kept the peepsicles from floating too far off into the void, while the cold was what kept them sort-of alive.

It pretty much matches the Mavity Bubble around a Spelljammer - everyone was in cryogenic freeze from being sucked into space, then the Doctor was able to catch them all by creating a bubble to hold all those floating people in orbit of the space station.

It was just as scientific as the hard light mage hand used as a tractor beam
