Rick Wakeman (famously of Yes) was a classically trained pianist, and often slipped snippets of classical music into his solos or did homages in his writing. He did an aloof classical variations, but I think it was played mostly on piano.

OTOH, Jon Lord (Deep Purple’s keyboardist) also drew inspiration from classical music, but always preferred synths, electric organs, and rock arrangements even in his solo work:

This one is a popular bit of internet trivia, but so far as I can tell it isn't true. The two people who claim that's the original version of it don't offer any sources to back that claim up.

Also, apropos to our hobby and general nerd-dom, the famous CS Lewis quote, 'When I became a man I put away childish things' and its meaning-reversing continuation 'including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.'

I've heard "I could care less" in so much American media I have assumed it's just the normal way they say it. Just a regional variation.
