Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

They look... unfinished. It's like somebody built a life-sized metal version of a Pinewood Derby car.
To me, they just look like someone from some time ago's idea of what 'futuristic' things would look like. Like, apparently the original Transformers cartoon movie from 1986 was set in 2005, and had transformers that turned into 'modern for 2005' vehicles, and their idea about what that would look like were, well, very "of their time."

Are we still supposed to pretend it's about taste instead of money?
Well, the word "taste" is in the rule.

Whether the person applying that means it as respectful of the customer's wants, or a cynical moneymaking tactic, either way the customer gets treated with respect, right? And isn't entitled to demand whatever they want, as in the perverted truncated version.

But she ASKED. So that doesn't run afoul of the maxim.

And while she did ask, if you had fewer products/options available in the color you thought was nicer, you'd have lost out on sales.

But mostly it's about the fact that she asked for that feedback. You didn't try to convince her not to buy the stuff she genuinely liked.
I worked at BestBuy when I was younger, and a guy came in asking for advice. He and his wife were young parents and had filled up their phones' memory with pictures and videos of their new baby doing baby stuff, and they didn't want to pay extra money to expand their iCloud storage, and he heard something about Apple selling a wifi enabled hard drive.

I showed him the Apple Airport locker or whatever it was, it was essentially a router with a hard drive. It was also very expensive. Before he bought it I asked if he was married to Apple products, and explained that other wifi-enabled home cloud devices existed that were more affordable.

As a young kid who thought I was smarter than everyone else I took a lot of pride in making fun of Apple users and the exorbitant costs they paid for their devices.

He was absolutely sold on saving some money, and left very happy with I think a Western Digital device.

He came back a few days later. It worked great but his wife insisted he return it and buy the Apple one, because she wanted it to match their other devices.

I know! Even the JETS have won a Super Bowl.

That's right - the Canada is right there with the Cleveland Browns. Canada is the factory of sadness.
If there's one thing I've learned in sports, it's that every dog has their day. It took 52 years for my San Francisco Giants to finally win a World Series after some terrible heartbreaking losses along the way.

And then they won 3 championships in a five year period. 🤷‍♂️

They're also kind of Brutalist, which is a look that really works for some people (with buildings, honestly, I'm one of them) and is just awful to others. So that sort of angular look and the fact it very much stands out from other cars is probably a selling point for some people.

The problem is, of course, by all reports they're pretty crap cars in some important ways.
