I don't wanna be the one to say "kids these days", but I guess I'm getting old. Really, getting a huge vibe of "I don't want my actions to have personal consequences, every consequence is retaliation".
Well, in the kids' defense, my generation (Gen-X) was famous for having this attitude too. I remember hearing it from everyone when I was growing up--so many lectures from my parents and teachers about "taking responsibility for my actions" and "facing the music," etc.

I agree it's certainly a "kids" thing, but not so much a "these days" thing.
