I've gone barmy
I have to disagree with this statement, and make an irrational counter argument. At a certain point, the two sides dig in to the extent that both sides' arguments are arguing about nothing.

I remember one time I conceded an argument that had derived into defending myself from nitpicking to my words. At a certain point, the two sides dig in to the extent that both sides' arguments are arguing about nothing.
Resisting. Nitpicking. Words...I remember one time I conceded an argument that had derived into defending myself from nitpicking to my words.
I know we are nerds and arguing over minutia is its own kind of fun, but no need to take it this seriously. I mean that is how flatearthers started.
Yeah, would be counted as GDPI heard a very painful piece of audio the other day. Elon Musk was bumbling his way through a bad joke. The point here isn't the joke. I wanted to know if my assessment was right.
Basically, the joke has two economists challenging each other to eat a pile offor $100. After the challenge one realized that they both won the $100, so they cancelled each other out. The "punchline" is that they added $200 to the economy.
My reaction was that zero dollars were added to the economy. The $200 was already there. It never left. Perhaps that's the joke? They think they're adding to the economy?
Oh lord, I saw my first flat earther video the other day and it was hilariously dumb. And the comments underneath were amazing, with just how confidently out to lunch everyone was. Such a fascinating subculture, but I worry if I dig into it, it'll wreck my algorithm something fierce.I mean that is how flatearthers started.
I know they exist. I have seen the videos. I've seen the response/debunk videos. I don't want to believe they exist. I can almost buy the SovCit stuff. It would be awesome if this "one simple trick" meant you were outside the law. The reality is harder to prove. Bit for the flat earth, it's right there. There is so much evidence. I think in both cases there are nefarious people behind it with their own goals in mind.Oh lord, I saw my first flat earther video the other day and it was hilariously dumb. Some Patreon creators really know how to do the subscription model right. There's a cartoonist I follow who basically puts his stuff online for free but the Patreon has bonus panels for everything. You know what you're getting, but there's still an extra as a thank you. Also, I became a paying member of a Patreon thing for the first time (Quinns Quest was having a sale) and, my goodness, having more Quinns Quest in my life is an amazing present to myself. What a delight this guy is.
Hbomberguy made a pretty good video about them a few years ago.Oh lord, I saw my first flat earther video the other day and it was hilariously dumb.
