I would put Wizards pretty high. Maybe behind Clerics, and Druids but ahead of Sorcerers and Bards

You play frequently and get ti those higher levels

The biggest quandry I have is a Rogue who is multiclassing with Paladin, Wizard or Warlock (or Cleric or Druid I suppose, but those are rare for me).

I want to take the Rogue level first because that nets you one more proficiency, but I also want to take the caster level first because it gets you the Wisdom save.
