TURTLEDOME!: Battle Bone (DM: KenHood, Judge: Lord S.)

ooc: can i get a map update if it's not too much of a problem? Beer is swimming in my veins so that'd help me to update faster...
EDIT: Well, it doesn't matter. I don't have a clear idea of the relative positions, but the action is simple enough. Vaunea is adjacent to the control impulse rat, isn't she?

Hadarai tries to gesture an apologize to Finnian, since he has lost the gift of intelligible speech again, takes a moment to regain his composure, then steps aside and settles an attack for Vaunea, getting the rat right under her axe.
The Eladrin manages to forget about his bleeding foot, and his tongue loosens up, too. As you demand, m'lady!, he grins, trying to hide the lingering pain.

[sblock=actions(Vaunea)]minor:inspiring word on self: heal 11 dmg; move: shift to flank impulse rat with Vaunea if possible; commander's strike with Vaunea(roll includes CA)16 vs AC, 9 dmg; she can also mark it. Like before, I suggest non-lethal dmg. Save vs blabbering made again. Save vs ongoing dmg: made too.[/sblock]

Round 2

Apology: I just realized that I had moved Origami Rat 12 to early in the initiative order.

Round 2 Continued...
Hadarai rallies. Vaunea strikes Impulse Control Rat. Still standing, bleeding ink, the rat screeches--uh, you know, I can't even find an euphamism for what it just said. That's... Ugh... I think I'm gonna throw up.

Origami Rat 25 closes with Emral and attacks the wizard.
[sblock=Action]Move: from H7 to H5.
Standard: Bite - V. AC (1d20+6=12)[/sblock]
Emral dances out of the way.

[sblock=My Action] This thread is moving fast, so I'm going to post what Emral is going to do now so no one has to wait: Shift to H3, then Scorching Burst on G5. I'm trying to nail the rats in my AoE, to just bring them down.
After this, I"m planning on sniping the artillery Rats (vocab and memory) with MM, so I don't kill our "host".[/sblock]

Drivan grimaces as he watches his team mates hack and slash each other to pieces. Resolving to end this fight as quickly as possible he mutters some unintelligible words and frost begins to coalesce about his body. Flicking his right hand towards the swarm of rats he causes a fog like cloud of ice to form, enveloping both the swarm and the origami rat nearby.

[sblock=Action]Freezing cloud, originating from G7 so that it hits the full swarm and the origami rat without getting Emral. Freezing cloud is vs fort, 1d20+5 [/sblock][sblock=Action] (14,5) = (19), damage is 1d8+5 (4,5) = (9)(how much damage is done to swarm by AOE?)[/sblock]

Seeing the chilling effects of the cloud he grins slightly, mustering the will power to form another magic missile which he tosses at the impulse control rat.

[sblock=Action 2]Spends an action point, casts magic missile. 1d20+5 (10,5)=15, damage 2d4+5 (3,2,5)=10 hopefully that hits… [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Reklaw, remember that for area attacks you roll a separate attack roll for each target, but still one damage roll. So you need to roll another 1d20+5 for the attack roll on the origami rat.

Well played, though. That should finish off the swarm, methinks. I think swarms have vulnerable 5 or 10 to close and area attacks, which just means they take that much extra damage when you hit them with those kinds of attacks.[/sblock]

Round 2

OOC: And I just realized that I forgot Memory Rat's actions.

Round 2 Continued...
Memory Rat gestures at Emral. "Confundament!"

[sblock=Action]Standard: Confundament v. Will (1d20+6=24)[/sblock]
Emral feels befuddled. Where is he? What is he doing? How does he do it? He feels important aspects of his self-knowledge slip in and out of his grasp. (Dazed, -2 to attack rolls until end of next turn.)

Drivan casts Freezing Cloud. The icy mist engulfs the Origami Rat Swarm and its lesser kin. The little rat is unaffected by the cold (attack roll v. Origami Rat 25 (1d20+5=8)), but the swarm shivers, collapses, and dies (14 damage).

Drivan's magic missile incapacitates the Impulse Control Rat. (I'm assuming that you're not trying to kill it. If not, please correct me.)

Emral takes ongoing damage (3 points).

Emral's turn. (None of the rats that he targeted exist, and he's dazed, so he needs to post new actions.)

[sblock=ooc]Thanks Lord S! And Ken, I believe the rat takes half damage for a miss? Thanks! and you're correct that I only wanted to incapacitate[/sblock]

[sblock=Reklaw]Nope. Not that particular thoroughly generic rat. Maybe it has something to do with the type of creature? Hmm. Could it be a minion?[/sblock]

[sblock=Ken]Sorry, didn't realize that some rules are superseded by others, finding out a lot of them! :-p Thanks Ken! Great adventure![/sblock]
