D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

Sorry if this has been asked before.

When I print, the lines (inside any boxes, notes, actions, etc) don't print. Neither does the grey background at the top of any page. Anyone else have this issue and is there a fix?
This is a new one. I have no issue with printing the sheet, so my first guess is that this is a problem with your software. Possible a print-setting somewhere.

The first thing I'm thinking off is that you possibly have your printer driver set to use "less ink" or "remove backgrounds".

The first step in troubleshooting is that I need the following info:
1. The version of the sheet you are using (version number and type such as “A4” or “Letter”);
2. The software you are using to view the sheet (including the software’s version number);
3. The operating system you are using and its version.

1. Version 12-81. Not sure how to tell if A4 or Letter
2. Using Adobe Acrobat Reader (15.023.20070), also tried printing as a saved PDF file with same result
3. Windows 10 Home

Not printing with a "less ink" setting or anything like that.

Here it says you can hide/show lines. Mine show before printing but don't print.

If this picture is the sheet you are using, then you are using the Printer Friendly version, so A4/Letter doesn't apply as that is only for the Colourful version.

You can hide/show the lines using the menu buttons. Hiding them will also make them invisible during editing.

As you also can't print them when printing to PDF, this is definitely a settings issue in Adobe Acrobat Reader. I would recommend going over your printing settings. I don't know of any that would remove the background like you describe. But maybe I'm not understanding correctly what is happening. Do you have a screenshot or, better yet, the PDF you printed to?

Maybe this forum thread is helpful: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/706169

There somebody posted
Well, just to add to my own post, I found that if I go into the printer settings, and change the "Advanced Printing Features" to Disabled, it then prints out just fine. If I change it back to Enabled, then the picture doesn't show up properly again.

I don't know if I'm losing anything else by leaving that disabled but it's got somethign to do with that setting I guess.

Here are pictures of Adobe and PDF versions. Look normal to me. In the meantime I'll keep trying to mess with printing settings.

Yes those were before printing. Here is a picture of printed sheet with the lines missing. View attachment 82627
I believe you about the printed version. What I'm interested in, is the print-to-pdf version that you said had the same problem. Because that is where or gets really strange. Print drivers can be a hassle and soi weird things, but the fact that you have this is both with physical printing AND when printing to PDF makes it something that could be a bug in the sheet.

It could be that your printer is printing the grey areas using color, and the black using black. Did you try forcing printing greyscale or, from the advanced printing in Acrobat, try setting grey to k-values?

Without the print-to-pdf file (and maybe even with), I can only really recommend trying you re-install adobe actobat and re-install your printer driver. Maybe that solves something I'm sorry that I can't be more help.

Not sure how to share a file like that. Hopefully this works? Thanks for the help! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxNI1AKOsYRYbVFWbnB0elZoQm8/view
