D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Storm King's Thunder: Waterdeep

Bellalalalinda looks around the room, and -- holding on to Whistler's shoulders with her legs, swings upside down and dangles until she reaches out with her arms to catch herself on the ground. "Ta-da!" she says, to congratulate herself.

It doesn't matter if she is particularly adept or not (acrobatics: [roll0]). With her "All Eyes on You" feature, she perhaps will have caused a distraction, should anyone want one. Bell likes the attention.

OOC:
That works, thanks:-)
[roll0]
Casting suggestion on the speaker.

Taking advantage of Bella's extraverted acrobatic antics, Gul quickly manipulated the Weave, keeping his gestures as small as he could.

"I completely understand your position, but if you don't know what it does then it could be a danger to you, even if you don't plan on possessing it for long.

Why don't you allow me, with my companions, to examine it? That way I can advise you of any precautions you should take while assessing it's value so I can bid appropriately. Everyone benefits!"

Gul starts to cast his spell and one of the thugs charges him yelling something unintelligible.

Both of his attacks miss.

After the initial surprise, the thugs, Nareen, and the two bouncers from the tavern react.

The thugs shout about Gul being a "Good for nothing spellcaster sneak!" Between them they land one critical hit for 6 points of damage.

The bouncers arrive.

Nareen moves to the southern window, pushing it open and then jumps out (then hides).

This all happens faster than the party was able to react. Parties action.

Uric grunts in surprise stupid gits he thinks to himself By the gods, are these people insane? With that he moves towards the new threat and strikes at the thugs, hoping to just knock them unconscious and not kill them (if they are hurt that's ok, they should not have come out with naked blades if they did not want to get banged up).

OOC: Uric would like to move E7, that is 6 squares but two diagnal spaces also. Even if those counts as double he should be able to make it there with 40ft movement. He will then attack the one on F8. I am trying NOT to kill them so if possible I don't kill them if they go to zero. Attack and damage if he hits: 1D20+8 = [9]+8 = 17; 1D8+7 = [1]+7 = 8
1D20+8 = [18]+8 = 26; 1D8+7 = [1]+7 = 8

Davaros rushes forward to protect the group, draws his sword and says: "You do not want to do this! Stand down or pay the consequences!"

OOC: move to H7, persuasion [roll0]
.

Gul frowned as the guard's strike drew blood, negating the magical vigour with which he had previously imbued himself. Not wanting to be in the middle of the melee without more protective spells active, he pulled back from the guards and followed Nareen out of the window, hoping to glimpse the direction she had gone in.

OOC:
Note: Gul will cast Shield with a warlock slot as a reaction if he is hit by an attack (+5 to AC).

I have crossed off the second level slot, though it doesn't sound like I actually got the spell off.

Action: Disengage
Move: jump out southern window (If needed, [roll0])

Looking for Nareen [roll1]

Gul jumps out the window, [roll0] falling damage. He doesn't see Nareen anywhere.

The two thugs don't take too kindly to Davaros, but the two bouncers have different objectives. "You're not in the right place to be talking about consequences, friend. Whatever you've done, this isn't the place you can be barking orders."

(sorry for the delay)

This wasn't fun at all, thinks Bellalalalalinda, who blurts, "Whoa whoa whoa we have no quarrel with you and are just trying to stop the sale of the sphere...".

The small gnome runs to the window, and climbs out. not seeing her below, she instead looks up and climbs her way up and out the side of the building. Whistler will follow but wants to make sure everyone else is okay first. The great ape moves to the other side of a table, making non threatening, but protective gestures for the others in the party still in the room.

OOC: With Mariner fight style, Bell has a move speed and a climb speed of 25. With a move and dash, that's 50' (probably slowed at the window). I presume Nareen did not go out and down, so Bell will likely head up.

Whistler will position himself between the greatest number of threats and anyone still in the room (move) and then defend (dodge).
