Affected by: None | Conditions: None[/sblock] As chaos suddenly broke out and javelins began flying, Devan unleashed his magic upon the nearest troglodyte warrior. At this point, with no possible chance for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, he felt no remorse as a bright flash of arcane energy arced from his extended hand toward his intended target. Glimpsing the enemy's superior numbers, the odds didn't look too favorable for him and his allies. This isn't going to be easy, he brooded silently.

GM: It occurs to me that Bob and the Snake HAVE already done their Round Zero fighting. So everyone but Sesto can post for Round One. The Trogs are pulling more javelins and getting into better positions to throw. The snake is coiling back for another strike. Sesto is amazed he didn't get impaled with javelins. Everyone else reacts quicker. Go ahead.

Pyrus grunts in pain as the javelins thrown at him rip and scar his skin. Then he grumbles in anger. He uses his control of fire and ice to draw heat from his body, slowing the bleeding and numbing the pain. He stood, feeling much better.

He holds his hand out to the middle of the cavern, and pulls deep from his psionic power, pushing all light away from that point. All the Trogladytes except the two closest are engulfed in a magical darkness that even darkvision cannot see through, though Pyrus can see through it just fine.

"Focus on these two, I'll start on the rest."

OOC: Bonus Action: Spend 3 Psi points on Frozen Sanctuary, which grants 20 Temp hit points.

Action: Spend 2 Psi Points to cast Darkness with a 20 ft radius, centered on point N23. It should cover all but the closest two and the serpent.

Current Psionic Focus: Mastery of Light and Dark: Grants Magical Darkvision.
Current PP left: 7

OOC: I think rather than actually getting mad, he just gets excited for a good fight.

OOC: He "Raves" instead of "Rages". I like it.

Down in the pit, the giant snake lunges at Bob and gets bashed by Bob's hammer. It then slides past Bob and around him, and begins to constrict. Bob, thrilled by the possibility of being crushed to death by a giant snake, only narrowly slips out of the doughnut hole and slides over the coils of the snake's body, freeing himself.

GM: Well, because it probably makes no difference to what Devan will do, I'll roll for the Snake now. As soon as Celestial posts Devan's Turn, Sesto can go.

Affected by: Bless | Conditions: None[/sblock] Hoping that Bobranthus could, in the meantime, take care of himself against the large constrictor inside of the pit, Devan focused his attention on his own target. Unsure of whether his first volley against it had struck true, he sent another eldritch blast at the same troglodyte, hoping to take it out quickly. And with the benediction called down upon them by Sesto, his faith that they would eventually prevail was renewed.

Sesto hears hissing from the closest Troglodyte and suddenly the air is full of javelins. Three javelins are racing towards Sesto but he doges one of them, pushes another to the side with his shield and the third misses narrowly.
Next, Sesto notices that the cave suddenly becomes engulfed in total darkness and most of the troglodytes disappears from view. There's only two left visible.
As Sesto try do decide whether to negotiate his way past the pit trap to engage the nearest troglodyte in battle, Devan sends a couple of brutal blasts towards this stinking monster. Sesto decides to stay put and sends of a sacred flame of Lathander towards the other visible troglodyte.

Round One:

As javelins rain down on the party, Devan blasts a Trog, who staggers back; even injured, it goes for another javelin.

As Pyrus' darkness descends on the crowd of Trogs, Devan blasts the same Trog again. This time, the Trog falls back, it's scaly feet sticking out of the darkness.

The Trogs react with confusion, screeching and hugging the walls of their huts. One stumbles out of the darkness, and nearly falls in the pit, before throwing it's javelin at Pyrus.

The other visible trog, ducks as Sesto's sacred light flashes toward it, and it throws a javelin at the offending cleric.

GM: I have preferred to reconcile rounds all at once on the monster's turn, so I'm going to let everyone go now for round two. I'll post a map in a few minutes.
