Bob laughed even more as the pit burst into flame before him. He could see the snake cooking in the fire's and called out to his allies. "Guess we know what's for dinner!"

He pressed the attack, with a fervor not yet seen, driving his blows home with a vengeance while simultaneously making an opening in his own defenses.

OOC: Reckless attack in effect. And if the snake goes down Bob is going straight through the fire and up the wall as far as he can with his move.

Warhammer + Battleaxe attacks (RA):: 2D20.HIGH(1)+5 = [6, 12]+5 = 17
2D20.HIGH(1)+5 = [20, 2]+5 = 25
(axe crit)

Warhammer damage:: 1D8+5 = [5]+5 = 10

Battleaxe damage(crit):: 2D8+10 = [3, 6]+10 = 19

Squirrels are evil!

OOC: Battle-axe crit damage should only be 2d8+5, not 2d8+10, right?
And I would like to know if the snake is still alive so that Sesto knows what he should attack.
Also, Can Sesto see any Trogs from the bottom of the pit?

NG (L) Human Sorcerer 1/Warlock 3

Size: M | Speed: 30 ft. | Senses: Passive Perception 13

Spell Slots: 1st-lvl: 0/2, [W] 2nd-lvl: 2 | Concentration: Hex

Affected by: None | Conditions: None[/sblock] Struck by yet another projectile, Devan roared in pain. The enemy's thrown weapon had found its mark, piercing him through a seam between two of the gleaming plates of his newly-acquired armor. It was a lucky shot, or from his perspective, a very unlucky one. With Pyrus's veil of darkness dissipated, the troglodytes that had been within it were now free to press their own attacks. "Please Morninglord, help us turn the tide of this battle," the injured Inquisitor beseeched, fervently.

With dogged determination, Devan focused all of his sacred ire upon the creature in front of him and lashed out with his longsword. The steel blade hummed and shimmered with sorcerous power as it arced gracefully through the air.

[sblock="OOC"]• Con Saving Throw (Concentration Check DC 10): 2d20k1+4 17

Bonus Action: Transferring hex from dead T2 to T8.

Favored by the Gods: Starting at 1st level, divine power guards your destiny. If you fail a saving throw or miss with an attack roll, you can roll 2d4 and add it to the total, possibly changing the outcome. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.[/sblock][/td]

OOC: Just realised that Sesto has the War Caster feat and therefore has advantage on Con saves for concentration checks (how could I forget that?)!
I hope I can retro-fit the save:
Con save to maintain Concentration : 1D20+1D4+2 = [15]+[3]+2 = 20 Pass both with and without Bless. So do I still have Bless up?

Sesto looks at the smouldering mess of a snake that Bob left behind and starts climbing up the pit too. As Sesto reaches the the top and balances on the edge of the pit, he calls forth Lathander's spectral mace yet again. The mace swipes at the stinking Troglodyte.

OOC: Movement: use 30 feet to climb 15 feet.
Action: Dash to climb rest out of pit.
Str(athletic) check for climbing out of pit: 1D20+1D4+2 = [12]+[1]+2 = 15
Str(athletic) check for climbing out of pit (if disadvantaged by heavy armour): 1D20+1D4+2 = [3]+[4]+2 = 9
Bonus action: Casting Spiritual Weapon and targets T8, if still standing else any other trog
Spiritual Weapon attack with bless and damage: 1D20+1D4+4 = [5]+[3]+4 = 12 1D8+4 = [4]+4 = 8

Round Five

Devan strikes his foe down with a swift blow, and Lathander's light washes over him, dulling the pain of his injuries.

Bob smashes the serpent with his hammer hard enough that the beast is dazed; it's head hangs motionless.
Bob does not waste the opportunity; he severs the beast's head with his axe.
Having vanquished his foe, Bob hoots with laughter and leaps through the flames. He hooks his hammer on his belt, crashes through the spears at the bottom of the pit, leaps as high as he can, buries his axe in the wall of the pit, and begins to climb out of it. While on fire, laughing.

Pyrus burns a Trog who he had burnt before, one who had thrown many javelins at him. It begins to run even before the others, who throw one last volley of javelins before running from the burning barbarian climbing out of the pit.

Sesto summons a spirit mace and climbs to a point where he can see to have it attack. He has much difficulty climbing with his shield strapped on, and is stuck at some point part-way up. A javelin is thrown at him, impossible to dodge or block.trog6.png

GM: You have them on the run, and good thing too, because this last desperate volley was pretty accurate. You might want to let them go.

Bob is only about halfway up. I'm not sure how far up Sesto is, but he's not out. Both need to roll athletics again to get out. It's not easy (both have something in their off-hand, the wall is crumbly) so the dc is 13 and Sesto has disadvantage. If you roll under an 8, you fall back in taking [roll0] from the spears, and [roll1] from the fall (you are over 10 feet and under 20 feet up, by the time you fall)

I don't know if Pyrus has a sneaky way to avoid being KO'd, but I suspect he does.

[sblock=Rolls]

vs Pyrus
Trog Dex Save 7 (Fail) (I accidently copied over it)
Trog Javelin: 1D20+4 = [9]+4 = 13
1D6+2 = [6]+2 = 8
(Hit? Are you KO'd?)

vs Bob
No one attacked Bob. They are running from him. He's on fire, though.

vs Sesto
Trog Javelin: 2D20.HIGH(1)+4 = [11, 13]+4 = 17
1D6+2 = [1]+2 = 3
(Hit - Advantage because you are climbing)

vs Devan
Trog Javelin: 1D20+4 = [17]+4 = 21
1D6+2 = [1]+2 = 3
(Hit)
Trog Javelin: 1D20+4 = [18]+4 = 22
1D6+2 = [3]+2 = 5
(Hit - Man, they know how to find the holes in that armour!)

OOC: Bob takes the fire damage with resistance.

Bobranthus climb(Raging):: 2D20.HIGH(1)+5 = [8, 8]+5 = 13

The dice gods REALLY want bob to just barely make the climb. I can work with this...

Slowly the dirty, soot blackened form of Bob rises from the pit. The fire plays across his skin, barely affecting it. As he looks for an adversary and he roars out a challenge to any who would take him up. Spotting the fleeing backs of the lizardmen, he laughs again, unhooking his hammer as he wades forth through the flames and flying cinder in the direction of the creatures.

Squirrels are evil!

Sesto struggles to get out of the pit and winces when a javelin hits him hard in the back. The chainmail seems to do a good job of protecting him but Sesto can still feel the pain. "Ouch. I think I must have broken a rib or two", Sesto thinks but manages to hold on and not fall back in again.
One last scramble gets him up over the edge and Sesto can see all stinking troglodytes running away, followed by a flaming Bob. Sesto moves his Spiritual mace to the closest troglodyte and takes a swing and immediately sends down another of Lathander's sacred flames on the same troglodyte.
Sesto Looks around at his battered and bruised companions. "Shall we pursue them? They might call for help."
