D&D 5E Ironfang Invasion (IC)

JustinCase

the magical equivalent to the number zero
After the goblin goes down, Flint decides to get to the other side of the river as quickly as possible, so he can try to get the stump remover near the bottom of the bridge. The fog, however, makes it difficult to see where he's going, and more importantly, where the remaining goblinoids are.

Whispering a prayer to the gods, the dwarf starts running, shoulder first.

OOC: Double move. I take it diagonal movement is 1.5 squares each? Then Flint moves to G20.
If not, feel free to adjust my position accordingly.

Finally overcoming his surprise about the fog the goblin moves towards Harb swinging his flail, missing widely with his first attack before almost striking Harb with the second.

The soldier with targets finally in his sights advances on Raux and the Dwarf, his first blow finding its way through Raux’s armor to land a telling blow, while his second falls just short.

The Hobgoblin with the crossbow nearest the fog turns and fires two bolts at the dwarf the first hitting true, the second bolt hits the dwarf hard and she grunts audibly.

The other Hobgoblin crossbow master fires at Sister Grace and his arrow lands true, almost flooring the cleric, before he turns and fires at the dwarf next to her with an bolt that hits the dwarf solidly.

There is a mild thud as the last hobgoblin once again throws its weight against the door.

Knowing that the crosbowmen would cut everyone to pieces before they made it to the clearing, Vin scampered past Corsa.

"Goodluck lovely," he kisses her on the cheek before continuing on to the crossbow wielding goblins. His swords woves a web of steel as he found chinks in its armour.

OOC: We may have to throw you a rope afterward or something. Look at everyone's hp. If we wait another round, people are likely to flat-out die, not just get KO'd.

Lal realizes how poorly things may go, and feels that the only option is to distract and scatter.

He whips out a Javelin at one of the hobgoblin crossbowmen:

Javelin throw at H3 on the bridge: 1D20+5 = [3]+5 = 8

But the throw is poor, and the projectile passes harmlessly between the two hobgoblins.

He then rushes up and to the right (OOC: diagonals don't cost anything extra in 5e as far as I can remember), reaching M27 (OCC: I think? between 2 trees), hoping that he would both distract the crossbowmen and that the trees would provide him cover.
