D&D 5E EB's One Shot - Irongrad (IC)

OOC: Nice move they won't be very cautious lol, they are hungry. And Bilkar can communicate with Small beast only (these are Medium size).

Will advance things tomorrow (I hope). Just bumping this as of now.

Alberich sees what the drow male is up to and moves over to the far side of the marbles. He shouts out waving his axe in the air to get the big birds attention, waiting for them to come into striking distance. Rilla moves to a small rock outcropping on the hillside. She notices Bilkar drawing the attention of a bird towards him and sends her own firebolt to intercept the bird.

The bolt hits just as fire from the gnome strikes it from the other side. Having enough (and it's wings still a bit on fire), the creature turn suddenly running away from the group.

The four remaining birds advance fast on the unsuspecting party. One is tripped up by Ssz'irac's trap and tumbles forward into Al's axe. It kicks and caws trying to get up. It clears a small path for the next bird, because it comes through easily and buries its beak deep into Al's side causing all kinds of damage.

The last axebeak tries for Ssz'irac, but the agile thief jumps out of the way and readies himself for a counterstrike.

Nature Check from Zuleyka: Not use to surface birds, but they must have guts and a heart like all other creatures so killing them should be easy.

Round 2

Zuleyka skirted the edge of the battlefield. She called up another bolt of fire and hurled it at another of the strange creatures, but it veered off course, igniting the grass behind.

Ssz'irac nimbly evades the axe beak's attack, somewhat disappointed that the bird did not trip over the ball bearings, then moves his rapier in a flurry to try and hit a soft spot in the beast's neck. The pointy end goes into the creature's feathery body and the drow grins softly.

OOC: I am not sure if the described overcast weather negates my sunlight sensitivity; if so, I can add my sneak attack damage. If not, I have disadvantage on my attack roll. I'll roll everything so the DM can take the appropriate results.
