D&D 5E Ironfang Invasion (IC)

Moving forward with the others, Flint knows he cannot reach the creatures before his allies. Instead, he sticks to the cave entrance and, holding his greataxe in one hand, points his a finger of his other hand towards the nearest crab thing and a bolt of pure flame races to the subterranean creature. The hot magic hits it squarely on the head, between its small beady eyes.

OOC: Move to F6, then attack Cave Fisher #2.

Seeing the threat, Vin starts to pray to all those elven gods that he no longer really believed in. It can't hurt, he thinks to himself as he launches a bolt of fire at the creature.

He watches it hit, and is momentarily excited but the flames seems to splutter weakly and do virtually nothing.



OOC: edit: lol enworlds dice roller is effing with me, right? only two times Vin hits; he does 1 point of damage. :P
 

Lal moves into the room and launches his javelin that goes just to the left of his mark as a bright flash of light surrounds one of the cave fishers and it gives out a squeak of pain.

Flint moves into the room and hurls a bolt of flame at the other creature scorching its shell.

Corsa moves into the room and watches the creatures from below.

Vin fires a weak firebolt at the second cave fisher who doesn’t even to notice the damage he took.

The cave fishers drop with a slash into the water and slowly start to make their ways towards the group.

Harb Half-Elf Paladin

Realizing that they will not get close enough for him to use his sword until it is too late Harb puts his sword away and grabs one of his javelins...

Then they fall from the ceiling, Well that will make things easier. Launching it at the closest of these cave crabs. Watching the javelin stick into the thick shell, not penetrating far, Harb advances shield up, there is a cadence to his steps, obviously practiced countless times as he brings his sword back out his rhythmic march brings him closer to the creatures.

Flint is using his momentum running into the cave, and seeing the closest crab creature fall to the combined efforts of Harb, Corsa and himself, he rushes past it towards the other. Raising the massive minotaur axe above his head, the dwarf swings the weapon forward as it sails through the air towards the cave fisher.

OOC: Move to H-03 (or thereabout if I can't reach that) and throw the greataxe.
Not sure what to roll for that (can't find it in the PHB), so I imagine a regular attack (without proficiency) with disadvantage?

Loosh rushes forward with a "Yaaah" escaping his lips. He plunges his boarding pike at a crab-thing.

Wow. Crappy damage. That last one should be +3 as well so 8 damage total.
