This epic war story begins with an invitation to a friend's funeral and three optional prelude encounters that guide you into the world of Krynn. Amy Dallen is joined by Eugenio Vargas to share some details about how these opening preludes work and some advice on using them in your own D&D games.

There is also information on the three short 'prelude' adventures which introduce players to the world of Krynn:
  • Eye in the Sky -- ideal for sorcerers, warlocks, wizards, or others seeking to become members of the Mages of High Sorcery.
  • Broken Silence -- ideal for clerics, druids, paladins, and other characters with god-given powers.
  • Scales of War -- ideal for any character and reveals the mysterious draconians.
The article discusses Session Zero for the campaign and outlines what to expect in a Dragonlance game -- war, death, refugees, and so on.

Alignment? Because until they cut it out completely, I'll mention it in every poll, every feedback offering, every thread where it comes up, to ensure Wizards remains aware that it should stay. Just as it was added back for Fizbans (the last book I bought).

I also care about the orders, the knights, the lack of clerics until the gods return, the gods, the balance aspect, and how Kender are actually yes, unable to quite grasp the whole 'property' concept and more besides.
Alignment is still a thing. It's just not super important.

it is still good people taking KNOWN evil people into the ranks of there organization.
There is no KNOWN evil in 5e, since there is no way to detect alignment.

But in Dragonlance, Good and Evil are basically religions. Objecting to having followers of Evil in an organisation is equivalent to objecting to people of a different religion.

I don't see how anyone who likes DL material that was previously published is worse off if new stuff is published that they don't like.
It depends how you answer if the people who enjoyed the original SW movies are worse off for the new stuff made with Disney that they do not like.

I have no dog in that particular fight, my preferred franchise was already messed up with the latest Star Trek offerings. I just ignore everything made from Discovery onwards. :ROFLMAO:

We can understand there is a serious difference between the true honor or be "legal stupid".

The glory of the victory for the sports and championships. When there are innocent lives to be saved then you have to wonder what are the true priority.

In my opinion a realistic villain is or "tainted hands in the name of supreme good" or a mixture of moral relativism and social darwinism, close to Nietzsche's ideas about the Übermensch obeying only his own ethical value and rejected mercy and solidarity as "slave morality".
