I think it is unreasonable to expect current adventures to have to be locked into lore from modules that came out 24 years ago and not reuse or reimagine what has come before - though obviously not sure how this particular module handles it.

Greyhawk will bevisited. I am happy with that.

"Archmages, Assemble!". It sounds as a wink to Avengers.

My theory is spoiler: He will lose the hand and eye again!

* Yes, some times I suspect WotC reads us to get some ideas. I don't say it was wrong. If they like our suggestions, why not?

I wonder if this adventure will used to explain some retcon or reboot of the D&D multiverse.

I think I might get this adventure specifically to take Vecna's ritual and use it in my own version of the Realms to have a fun Planescape Godslayer game.

So I'm assuming it's a Rod of Seven Parts adventure, Vecna has one piece, the other pieces are in the six planes mentioned that tie into previous WotC adventures. If so, that's fire, that's so dope, I really hope they nail this one, I want WotC to release a 10/10 adventure so bad.

Your other point, OTOH, I think has a point. These covers could be a WHOLE lot better than they are. There's not enough going on in either of them, IMO.

It wasn't good enough for WotC to open up Greyhawk to adventurer's guild. But I suspect Vecna or DMG will be.
