Angus McBride's work for MERP is nearly all gorgeous, and for a gamer, the RPG connection is lovely, but for my tastes they're pretty much all a bit too dark in tone for a dining room. Here are three I particularly like which aren't as dark as others.

My god, I remember those illustrations. I think that was one of the first rpgs I was ever given. I recall the starter box set was set in Bree.
 



Frazetta's portfolio is super fun, in part just because his work is vivid and beautiful, and in part because of how violently it clashes with Tolkien's aesthetic and descriptions. Art almost totally untethered from its inspiration.
