D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Variant Rule Death from Massive Damage Fort DC?

Death from massive damage is a variant rule in 3.5. What's interesting is several pages ahead of this variant rule is the saving throw section that says the default DC for saves is 15 (and between 10 and 20 for assigning DCs). What would have been better, IMO, is if the DC was simply stated in...

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Epic Spell Focus must still be +6 DC

Hello, The other day I asked a question on these boards about Epic Spell Focus and what the DC is in 3.5. After looking at the Official D&D accessory download for the 3.0 supplement books (i.e., Epic Level Handbook), it appears that there are no changes to Epic Weapon Focus or Epic Spell...

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Variant Rule Death from Massive Damage Fort DC?

Hello, What is the DC for the Fortitude save for the 3.5 Variant Rule: Death from Massive Damage. DC 20? I couldn't find in the 3.5 DMG what the DC is. Thanks, - K.

    D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Epic Spell Focus still +6 or is it +3?

Hello there! Does anyone know what the 3.5 Epic Spell Focus bonus is? In 3.0, Epic Spell Focus gives +6 DC bonus. In 3.5, Spell Focus changed from +2 to +1, and Greater Spell Focus changed from +4 to +2. So is Epic Spell Focus still +6 or is it +3? Thanks! - K.

RE: Epic Level Characters and Divinity

That's pretty much what I figured. That the deity levels in the Deities and Demigods would have to be beefed up if the DM decides to use the Epic Level Handbook. I wonder if Upper_Krust will beef 'em up in his Immortal's Handbook or perhaps a future immortal supplement ;) - K.

[3.5] In-game explanations for the revision

Yep! Howdy, I'm writing an Epic Level Module that uses one of the example Epic Level ideas in the Epic Level Handbook. The PCs will find the Book of Sleep, that will be located in a Citadel that resides in the Far Realm. In the book will have "The Words Once Spoken". the very words that...

RE: Epic Level Characters and Divinity

RE: Epic Level Characters and Divinity Hello there everyone, Is there any official information about Epic Level Characters being required to acquire divine ranks after "X" level. In other words, can an Epic Level Character be say level 40 or 50 and not have to achieve divine rank 0? I don't...

Planeshifter (MoTP Prc). Plane shift to Far Realm or Region of Dreams?

Hello, I was wondering if a character who is a planeshifter (Manual of the Planes prestige class) can plane shift to planes such as the Region of Dreams and even the Far Realm? Assume that both the Region of Dreams and the Far Realm exist in the cosmology for the purposes of this discussion...

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and D&D

Very good analysis from everyone Good analysis! The only thing though is an 11th level monk becomes immune to poison, but I realize of course that D&D and movies (or novels for that matter) will never be 100% compatible. But it is fun to try to simulate certain movie/novel character types in...

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and D&D

If you were to take a movie character like Li Mu Bei (Chow Yun Fat) in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon what classes and feats do you think he would have? Was the Green Destiny a long sword or more like a rapier? Lastly, what about the two main women in the movie? What classes and feats do you...

Anyone have the Tempest Req handy? (MOTW)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Thanks to both of you! That was a big part of the reason I decided to shy away from Duelist. Another character concept I had was a ranger 1, fighter 2, monk 7, duelist 10 type character. The character would need some pretty nice ability scores in intellect, wisdom, dex, etc...

Anyone have the Tempest Req handy? (MOTW)

Re: Re: Re: Thanks to both of you! I have FRCS. I'll check out Twin Sword Fighting as well. I may go with the 2 short swords so I can use Flick of the Wrist to full advantage.
