Pathfinder 2E Dirge of Doom Clarification

Yeah, I'm in the thread on Paizo's forums and just wanted to see if I could get a wider variety of interpretations of the issue. I think we'll have to get this issue to the Pathfinder development staff to get a clear answer what the intent of these rules are.

Pathfinder 2E Dirge of Doom Clarification

So, the question is does Dirge of Doom's frightened condition have any reason to function differently from any other condition? Specifically, when the Dirge ends does the frightened condition immediately end - or does it end at the affected creature's turns as normal? If if functions as...

Healing Surges: 6 + Constitution modifier

I feel this is not entirely true. Con is not a prime stat for the rogue - this may not be the case though, for some of the more martial characters. I can see them having 8 or 10 + Con hps / lvl.

    Monks and AC

More information can be found here than one could effectively answer - http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/attacksOfOpportunity.htm Doosler - does your group use a grid for combat ? one thing my group has found is that more than any other edition, 3.5 necessitates the use of a grid-format map -...

    A Vest of Magic Vestament

It certainly seems reasonable. Page 234 of the MIC lists the two regular places for an armor bonus to AC as arms & body. Keep in mind though, that only dodge type armor bonuses stack - so it would only be worthwhile if the character had no mundane armor on.

    OMG: The Core Cleric

No, Infiniti - I was implying that many of the groups I have played in, and especially the one I play in now, there are no free lunches. Depending on the group and makeup of players, any type of character could be the biggest threat. What I was implying is that if the enemies have a lick of...

    DMG Witch

I would just as soon allow a beguiler and call it a witch.

    OMG: The Core Cleric

I play a cleric and even with a +5 init modifier, there is little time to buff. Most combats are quick and deadly - time spent buffing is time lost doing lots of damage already, so my buffs need to pay off in the 2 - 3 rounds we have to kill whatever it is before people start dying. Frankly, I...

    OMG: The Core Cleric

I have a fantastic archer cleric in a game that is almost core (phb2 & spell compendium only). He would still be a great character even in a core game, I believe. I like him better than a melee cleric because his damage output is nearly the same and spends much less healing on himself as well as...

    Reach Weapon Build?

I could have sworn that spiked gauntlet rule is in the srd somewhere. I can't find it now.

    Reach Weapon Build?

Correct me if I am wrong, but can't a polearm using character equip a spiked gauntlet while using the polearm and thusly threaten all squares, not just the reach ones ?

Im new to D&D HELP PLZ!!!

Honestly, if you are a new player - I would avoid character optimization forums and experience the game for fun on your own first.

    + Str & Size change

it is exactly why, Infiniti, it seemed to me that the damage needed to be scaled with size - I did miss the entry for bit & claw attacks, being a player myself and not a DM, I simply looked for large animals bite and claw damage. I feel somewhat relieved in knowing that the whole ability seems...

    + Str & Size change

We had a question the other night that I could not easily find the answer to. When an effect gives multiple bonuses Like a + to str in addition to an increase in size, is that taken into account in the + str bonus ? Look at the 8th level ability from the druids alternate class ability from the...

Multiple Hailstones-single or multiple attack rolls?

it does not specify, but with a instantaneous duration and a description that sounds a helluva lot like scorching ray, I would assume it mimics the multiple ray aspect of that spell.

Help me prepare to defeat my fellow PC- the Lich!

Most often though - everyone is not on board. And it is usually never even, usually a single instigator vs the rest of the party. This almost never ends well when the instigator realizes how powerful his teammates can be when they team up on him. Honestly though, we had this issue tonight with...

    Black pudding in a pit

I think it comes down to the entire group's extrapolation of the rules and if they correlate to how physics work on earth. Falling speed will be 9.8m/s for the first second of falling (I think) this is markedly faster than normal movement. It also basically comes down to the dm's...

I lost an eye! (or, how to handle one-eyed characters in d20) CRUNCH

It sounds like these guys are decently high level - If this happened to me, I would seek out a magical eye patch or some facial accouterments with true seeing or somesuch on it to offset the penalty. Our group would probably agree on the afflicted character having -2 on the following things ...

[Quotation]So now I conclude that D&D3R is a miniature game.

This thread doesn't even belong on here. And by the way - role playing stuff ? Numbers & stats are universal. You can talk about them in America & China and they mean (almost) the same thing. Role playing information varies widely. It is a personal experience that differs from one playgroup...

    The Archer Cleric

Whoa, weird. I am playing a cleric archer currently. I decided to do so after rolling the stats I did, so no zen archery for me. Here he is as of right now - I just got my only magic item and I don't expect to see another one for quite awhile. Jonquil Firemane Wood Elf Cleric of Corellon 6 S...
