D&D 5E Death Domain and Oathbreaker preview

So much for evils clerics commanding undead. Very disappointing.

In which D&D product did Orcus die?

This is correct. H4 wasn't adopted as WotC Canon, but Planes of Chaos was, and is the firts mention of Orcus' death and his return is confirmed in the 3rd Ed Manual of the Planes. In the Dead Gods adventure there was no definitive conclusion where Orcus returns unless the PCs fail.

Products you'd love to see published (but probably never will)

A big, fat, hardback Greyhawk city book :)

    Evil Campaign Advice

One method of ensuring group cohesion is giving them an enemy so dangerous that if they don't work together against they will be dead pretty soon. I had a cleric of Orcus going though the D series (against the drow for those who are no grognards). The drow posed such a threat to us that no one...

6/30/08 update: Necromancer class (work in progress)

I would! One class I think the rules are crying out for is a 'deathpriest' for priests of Orcus, Nerull, Incabulos and similar. If you were to tackle that I would be doubly interested :)

    D&D 4E Halivar's 4E auto-calculating character sheet v.2.03 (OpenOffice, Excel & blank PDF)

Healing Surge value. This should be 7 not 6 for clerics on the excel (DATA) sheet, all the other values are correct. Keep up the good work :)

Cloak of Invisibility: Best item in the game?

Well I don't have the books yet thanks to Amazon.co.uk :( But then again if they allow a level 33 solo to be killed by a single level 30 character due to a single item the rules are probably not woth buying. ;)

Cloak of Invisibility: Best item in the game?

I take it Orcus doesn't have the sense to take a second wind when he gets low on hit points.

    No Animate Dead?

I am a player and I want a ritual for animating the dead. I want to be able to ceate a character that can control and create undead just like I could in AD&D, 2nd Ed and 3rd Ed. I find 4th edition's move towards good or 'evil-lite' only characters to be a worrying trend, I don't like having the...

    D&D 4E Halivar's 4E auto-calculating character sheet v.2.03 (OpenOffice, Excel & blank PDF)

On he Excel sheet (I have not looked at the others) the Initiative not only adds ½ the character level but also the ability modifer that also includes half of the character level (ref cell Z36). This means that half the level is double counted. Cell R36 should be referenced instead. Cheers.

D&D 4E Notes from the 4E Corebooks: Alignment, Monsters, Artifacts and More

Thanks for this : ) Did you manage to pick up any more info about Orcus and his cultists, either crunch or fluff? Cheers.

    D&D 4E No evil gods in 4e?

I hope you are wrong, after all what is so wrong with PCs worshipping evil gods (and demon lords for that matter)? It does seem that 4e is making a move towards good only parties which is a kick in the teeth for those who who want to play villainous characters, despite one of the selling points...

    Gods...

I think this is a reference to Orcus. He has a cleric in the Keep on the Shadowfell adventure, there are references in 4th Ed to his cultists (W&M and the Death Knight article for example), and in one of the The Tome podcasts it is said that Doresain the King of Ghouls is one of his exarchs. He...
