I believe the Touv of Hepmonaland are black(someone correct me if I'm wrong). An oriental culture has never been officially placed in Greyhawk, although they may exist beyond the Flanaess.
I was wondering the same thing recently. After the initial buzz things sort of died down. The last thing I remember reading was that R.A Salvatore was writing the series bible. There were also some pick-a-path dvds that were supposed to come out. Not sure about those either.
I have a question for those more familiar with Kalamar than myself. Are the various sourcebooks, adventures, etc. generic enough to be retrofitted to a homebrew world or other settings?

In the interview with the MM2 design Rich Redman mention an upcoming dragon related project. This thread is to discuss guesses on what that would be. We know it's not Dragonlance because that has been licensed out to Sovereign Stone.
My guess would be an update to the Council of Wyrms setting.
The old D&D War Machine does seem a good choice for mass combat. With a few changes it could probably be worked into the game.
BTW-The Dominion rules are good too. That Rules Cyclopedia is great!
