I don't want this to get political.

Looks like 2006 will have a few shows which deal America ending and what happens afterwards. These could be cool. I mean one of the greatest GI JOE episodes was the 2 parter that dealt with Cobra taking over the world. Then we had movies like Red Dawn. I just hope they don't get to preachy.

I am leary of posting the link but..... I will

It just sounded interesting. Depending on which route they go and all. Will be like "V" except aliens, some sort of government with a resistance movement and all. But if gets all real world politics I probably won't watch it.

Sound like he's jumped the gun as usual, but maybe there's something there.

'Red & Blue' was a sitcom cancelled in the womb last year, but maybe some other show has taken that name. It was a 'Red' Grandpa and his 'Blue' adult son living in the same house. Hilarity, perhaps, would have ensued.

Can't find any mention on 'Four Horsemen' or 'Jericho'. Anyone else have any luck?

Now, 'Resistance' sounds interesting but I dunno how they'll really convey the idea of the premise unless there is a lot of travelling involved. What are the other nations like, and all that. If it has some good world building, I'd watch it.

I'd like to see a good post-apocalyptic or even just 'America stopped being a county and now there is something else there' drama. I've been in a mood for a post-apocalypse game lately.

To me it seems like a fine line to tread. Topics dealing with the destruction of America could get some serious backlash from the media and from hardcore patriots.

The Networks are a bit late since Showtime basically did "America after the plague" bit with Jeremiah a few years ago.

Yes, only a dude like Drudge would see these shows as "end of America" shows.

They're "end of civilization" shows, idiot. America -- and I know this is shocking -- is only one part of worldwide civilization.
