5ever, or until 2024
roll20 HAS default mix and matching. Its sort of a mess.

They have actually fixed some things in the last 12 hours, but the new 2024 and 2014 character sheet/builder is not where the just 2014 oner is (as its still there).

Effectiveness is not the same thing as compatible. It does not matter if the new version are better in near every single way, they are still compatible.
and this is the lie we have been sold.

sure, you can play a 2014 monk next to 2024, and because of bounded accuracy, attacks and AC will match(mostly), but this is where it all stops, as you would be insane to play 2014 monk next to 2024 for example.

Who the heck would ever play a 2014 Monk in the same party as a 2024 Monk? We barely ever get two Monks in a party as it is... let alone someone wanting to play the 2014 Monk in a 2024 game alongside another Monk player.

This seems to be an argument about something that will never actually happen. So it's complaints just for the sake of complaining.

Are you serious?
Yes. Please explain to me how two compatible versions, both of the "fifth edition," consistently earn a "not recommended" rating when it comes to mixing character rules. And how these compatible, same-edition games have two different rule sets. One would think they follow the same rules, and that mixing them would at least be "permissible."

I would like to see 2014 and 2024 fighter in the same party and having same effect in combat.
This is not recommended.
