Zoe, Chloe, Joey, same difference (OK, I screwed up. C'mon, its the first episode and I have to get used to the names again). Where the heck did I get Zoe?
So, is the kid gonna off the girlfriend? Or, is he setting up a big slice of disappointment for daddy?
nah. Think about it, he's a teenager. His choices are to (A) shoot the cute girl who apparently has the hots for him or (B) disobey his parents' orders. What do you think he'll choose to do? :)

I'll comment on last night's episodes here as well.

I enjoyed the parts in the field, I thought Jack pulling the hold up was cool. I am also intrigued with the Araz family dynamic and am interested in Secretary Heller and his daughter's plight. However, the scenes at CTU IMO are incredibly stale and unoriginal. I find myself rolling my eyes in a "I've seen all this before" attitude. I am esepecially tired of the inside person causing trouble and the personal issues such as Driscoll's daughter (like Michelle's brother causing problems). I always thought the 24 hour, real-time format was great and they could easily have put Jack Bauer in a different agency or situation to change things up and not use the same old CTU just different people. I am still enjoying it enough to keep watching but I am on an edge.

Rhymes with Bowie :-)

Firefly, I bet.

Yeah, I've had enough of CTU also. Instead of the terrorists bombing the place, maybe this time they should attack it! Put some excitement into that set.
One thing that bothers me so far is the lack of a hot chick on the set. The suck-up and CTU isn't bad on the eyes, but so far I'd rather knock some sense into her, and Ms. Tyler at CTU is stretching herself thin. First CSI, now 24. I don't like Jack's woman, Audrey. They could have done much better. Although she reminds me more of the first seasons two women than the other two seasons.

Eagerly looking forward to the next two hours tomorrow night.
Which I missed due to a cub scout meeting. I taped Sunday night's but didn't realize there were two more hours on Monday. Does anybody know if they are planning to rebroadcast these at any point in the next week or two?

I watched all 4 hours. I suspect they did it this way for two reason, first because 24's style means missing an episode here or there makes it harder to follow along as opposed to a show where the hour is self-contained. Now everyone has had an opportunity to get deeply involved.

2nd, sweeps will eat up all the extra time. Didn't they skip 3 weeks in a row last season?

As for what's going on...I am ho hum about it. I paid closer attention than the Alias premiere, but 24 immediately rang my "that's not right" bell with the train getting derailed by the truck. Fortunately they explained at CTU about the C-4 on board.

I have to wonder why Heller didn't empty the clip when he had the chance. They are going to kill you, go out on your terms. I suppose he could hope to be rescued, (plus that may or may not derail the plot).

My dad noted that Heller needs some drugs. What kind? Nitro would be a good way to off himself before they get to the trial.

But that goes to the biggest problem. If this happened, so many people would be hitting the sites to watch the trial they would never be able to see the video. Not to mention we could just blackhole routers and being able to trace them eventually.

Possible plot hole I see coming. How to get rid of the dead girl's car? The preview shows her mother showing up. How do they explain the car?

Ha! I told you the kid wouldn't kill her.... but mommy did (lord, I didn't see that one coming). Man, I think the mom is the most despicable bad 'guy' in the series so far... she says she's disappointed in her son because he didn't blow away a teenage girl?!
I've really liked every season of this series so far, and this season is no exception....

I wonder though... since by definition, the series can only be 24 episodes long each season.. they showed two tonight, two tomorrow nite... doesn't leave much of a season left... no wonder they waited till January to start it.

Not quite, that still leaves twenty hours, which is twenty episodes if they don't combine anymore.

And a standard season is generally twenty-two, I believe. For comparisons sake, Friends only had 18-20 episode seasons at the end. So twenty more is at all that short and I'm hoping they'll go straight through with out skipping any weeks (having to wait a week between episodes is bad, having to wait upwards of a month is intolerable).

Keep an eye on FX, in the past they've re-aired episodes, in fact I suggest you start checking every day/timeslot between now and the next episode on Fox.

When I saw her lift the glass to her lips I though "Don't drink that!" of course I immediately forgot about that, until Beruz try to sneak her out and she had trouble standing up.

Which is not at all surprising, considering what they've been established as even at this early stage.

I don't know why, but I wasn't surprised they offed Debbie. Debbie should have listened to Behrooz and well, I guess she deserved it. That family is so whacked, it makes me want to keep tab on my neighbors. Also makes me not want to have daughters. :uhoh:

OBTW, I like that little scene where the lady told Omar -- after listening the news -- how it makes her own people bad about some terrorists doing despicable things. He agreed and yet he's the terrorist. *evil twisted laugh*
