Boingy! Boingy!
Zaryz leaves the others behind for the moment, heading down the corridor through which the darkmantle fled. For the first 60 or so feet, the passage runs due west and is 20 feet wide. Zaryz passes strange doors on his left and right about every 20 feet.
Each door is closed. The doors are made of the same metal as the walls, floors, and ceilings. There is no visible apparatus to open the doors. There aren't even any hinges visible. Each door appears set so that slides open into the wall. Next to each door, about 3 or so feet up on the wall, is a rectangle marked with a thin slot. It is wider than a dagger's blade, but thinner.
After the first 60 or so feet, the corridor turns sharply to the north and narrows to a 10 foot width. Zaryz sees two more doors on the western wall. At the limits of his darkvision on the eastern wall, he espies an open doorway.
