I was sitting around thinking I wanted to get 3 of my friends together who have never played D&D, and run a game with them. I want to record their experience, and chop it up into episodes to see how it turns out.
I pitched to them that I would run a one-shot D&D campaign if they are interested, and that I would create the characters for them.
I also gave each player the option of rolling their own dice rolls, or having me roll their rolls.
Now mind you, none of these guys (ages 32-34) know what D&D is, but might have heard of it.
I explained the classes to them, and let them choose their own class. For everything else, such as race & background, I chose Human for them all, and made custom backgrounds for them.
This is the way I displayed the class options to them -
Now I know these aren't 100% every type of that class, but it was to give the guys a general idea of what that class might pertain to.
So, needless to say, after they all picked their characters the party is-
It seems like an interesting combination. CG Barb, CN Bard, LE Warlock.
They are a bunch of creative guys, I hope they enjoy it. The guy playing the Bard is a literal real life Jack-of-all-Trades type of guy.

- Bard (Performer, Jack-of-all-Trades)
- Cleric (Priest)
- Druid (Nature Priest)
- Fighter (Warrior)
- Monk (Martial Artist)
- Paladin (Holy Knight)
- Ranger (Nature Warrior, think Stryder from LotR)
- Rogue (Thief, Specialist)
- Sorcerer (Spell Caster)
- Warlock (Evil Spell Caster)
- Wizard (Book Spell Caster)
